STAIRS - WINTER 2023, UKRAINE.
Через постійні російські обстріли, задля економії електроенергії, по всій країні були застосовані регулярні відключення електрики. Разом із світлом, інтернетом та іншими базовими зручностями, звичними для людини 21-го століття, не працювали і ліфти. Підніматися доводилося пішки.
Due to the constant Russian shelling, regular power cuts were applied throughout the country to save electricity. Along with electricity, the Internet and other basic amenities familiar to a 21st century person, elevators were out of service. People had to walk upstairs by foot.
У цьому проєкті я відтворила досвід підйому на 12й поверх свого будинку, потік думок, образів та втому від безперервного руху.
In this project, I recreated the experience of climbing to the 12th floor of my building, the flow of thoughts, images, and fatigue from the continuous movement.
Сьогодні зима 2024. Незважаючи на надскладні умови життя і боротьби, ми продовжуємо рухатись разом - до перемоги. Завдяки допомозі партнерів, для цивільних поза зоною бойових дій ця зима є світлішою ніж торік .
Війна триває.
Today is the winter of 2024. Despite the extremely difficult conditions of life and fighting, we continue to move together - to victory. Thanks to the help of our partners, this winter is brighter for civilians outside the war zone than last year.
The war continues.
Ілюстрації - 12 відбитків з одного кліше, суха голка, монотипія, пластик. Книгу можна читати, перегортаючи сторінки , або знявши резинку, розгорнути по середині і трансформувати у сходи.
Illustrations - 12 prints from one cliché, dry needle, monotype, plastic. The book can be read traditionaly, or by removing the elastic band, unfolding it in the middle and transforming it into a staircase.
